I lost my Remote Release

I can't find it. I had it clipped on and now it's gone. :mad:
I guess it remotely released itself. :mad::mad:

I've had that thing since it was introduced. arghhhhh, crap

These are still made aren't they??

Yes and no. Original version is long discontinued, but the Remote Release II is currently in production. http://spyderco.com/catalog/details.php?product=205

I found a few online. Looks the same as my old one.
Just lists as version 2. I guess VG-10 is the only difference?

I think AG Russell Knives offers that model. But in red. I think.
Nope, that's the Snap-It, a similar idea, but the snap is at the blade end of the handle, while the Remote Release's is at the butt. Plus, the Snap-It is next to impossible to open or close left handed, while the Remote Release is extremely lefty friendly.

As you noticed, the steel has been upgraded to VG-10. As bengaiser mentioned, the shape of the blade's spine has been changed, And, IIRC, Sal said the bolt snap's mechanism is improved as well.

Sweet, thanks for the info. I never had any problems with the mechanism before,
I wonder what improvements were made.
Guess I'll find in a week or so. :D
