Just to facilitate communication, these are typically called "Scout" knives in the U.S.A. (A "Scout" knife is something else in Europe.) The name stuck to them due to so many Boy Scout versions being put into circulation for the last century+
"Camp knife" is usually meant in the U.S.A. to be a fairly large fixed-blade knife.
But, hey! If you called them "potatoes," I'd still love them. One of them was my very first knife and went to schools with me from age eight to HS graduation.
