I Love my Kershaw Ram

Dig your work! I have the photo you made with the 2 RAMS, and the 2 ZT's point down as my desktop.

The ram is my next blade for sure. I planned to buy one last week, but the old lady got me an Endura 4 for V-day.

Just out of curiosity, do you sell your custom wood scales?

Yes he does....

I never had much interest in the RAM until I saw some of Phillips work. So I picked one for the purpose of dressing it up and was kicking myself for not getting one sooner. Know I have two, one with Phillip scales and one Factory.

truly beautiful pictures guys! makes me want to make custom scales on mine! I wish the Ram Came in a production s30V blade...:(

I love my RAM. I've carried it almost every day since I got it. My next one will be a black one.

I read here on BF that Kershaw is considering going the other way with the RAM and making it in China with a lesser blade steel and lowering the price. :(

I hope at least they will do a sprint run for us origional style, RAM lovers and do S30v or A Damascus blade. Made in the US od course.

I have four black on black:

One with satin blade:

I realize this is an old thread, but I have a question that I haven't seen answered anywhere. Did any of the production RAMs have the ramped lock button like pictured on the satin version or did they all end up with the flush button like the black ones pictured?

Schweet thread! The Hawke's are arguably one of the most innovative designer's in knifedom.

I love my RAM(s), in fact I somehow ended up with 4 of them! I would love to get a set of Dobson scales for mine someday as well. I'm with you guys in wishing that they would make a sprint of the RAM with an upgraded steel, perhaps a composite blade and maybe some different color g10 or better yet carbon fiber scales!

I remember a long time ago Thomas was considering making a composite blade RAM with a saw tooth design if I remember right, unfortunately it never came to production.

I know it's an old thread, but I thought I'd add another pic of Mr. Dobson's work.... one of my favorite EDCs.

That looks better than stock :)

What's the original black coating on the blade made out of? How did you get that out?

The black coating is DLC. Mike did this one to a BB finished blade.
The DLC Kershaw uses is some tough stuff. If you want to polish
one like he did, don't start with a DLC coated blade. You'll be at
it forever. ;)

I still think mine looks better then Mike's. :D

Cotherion, I had used that one quite a bit and as svrider3 mentioned above it was the standard beadblast model.
I took it completely apart and polished every item. Made a little wooden block to press out the thumbstuds so I could polish the blade completely.
I did however polish the the flipper a little too much and it is kinda slippery. :D
The Kershaw logo is actually lasered on so it still shows. I didn't want to remove that anyway.

I still think mine looks better then Mike's. :D

I don't think so, and when the heck were you looking at mine?!
