My Dad and I had some business in Vancouver, WA which is right on the border with Portland Or....(he is picking up a new dishwasher).

On the way, I stopped in Kershaw with a stonewashed leek that needed some help. The warranty gal looked at it, said "yup it's got issues!" And disappeared into the back only to emerge minutes later with an new Leek and some pocket clips.

We continued our trip passing Benchmade on the way up and Leatherman & Gerber on the way home. I got back to my town of McMinnville and saw William Henry Studios(he's actually in the old IKS- international knife and saw building, next to my office) warehouse as we went to give grandma some eggs.

I am home now and I have a benchmade 9100 replacement pocket clip in the mail(can't pick them up direct unfortunately) and a card written in bubbly girlfriend red saying how sorry they were for ME breaking the clip.

Now I am printing off some brochures about our great state and putting them in an envelope. Does anyone by chance have Sal Glessers address handy?

SHUT...UP! If everyone knows how awesome this state is they'll all come here! ;)

I've yet to go to any of the knife companies to have a look. Glad you had a fun trip. Even if it was a trip to the couv.

$#!% man I didn't even think about that. Californians please disregard this stupid and highly inaccurate OP!:D

Couv. aside it was fun, you should go see some. Kershaw garage sale is in two weeks bro, got your tent and MREs ready? Great time to get out, baton some firewood in the parking lot and and see the biz. Great deals too. Which reminds me, people get trampled, robbed, and beat trying to score ps4s from Best Buy yet there has never been a case of anyone getting hurt at an Oregon knife company's Holiday sale...and it isn't because everyone there is packing sharpened steel, they just respect each other..hmmm:distrust:

I've never actually been in the Benchmade factory but, from the outside, I kind of imagine it as being similar to Willy Wonkas chocolate factory but with hot chicks and robots instead of oompa loompas:angel:

You serious? I knew they have a great warrenty service but this is just awesome!

@Eightleggedfreak. Why not just only hot chicks? That should be enough :P.

I hear its cold and rainy in Oregon. Real dark, too. No fun for those Cslifornia sun-worshippers.

Not even kidding bro. To expand on it, the "issue" with the knife was, I used it to pry and busted the tip- an obvious no no that most companies laugh at you for before hanging up the phone or slamming the door in your face, but she did it no questions asked. Smiling and friendly the whole time, tossed in the pocket clips and I had a cup of coffee while I waited. Serious.

Hot chicks would be enough in most situations but on top of that we got robots makin knives too?! C'mon man that's solid gold bro!

Hot robot chicks?!
Yeah, baby! Yeah! (must be read in Austin Powers voice for full effect)

That's it, I'm moving to knife world. (Aka Oregon)

This is my brand new, replacement Leek

Well I dunno Flygrain, we might take you back. Were you relocated voluntarily or was it involuntary. I'll send you an application for consideration....if you bring some cheese back with you that would help your chances.
