Look what the nice UPS man gave me today. :D

This thing is a beast. I will need to get The King next. My wife and I had a deal. She can buy two Minions and I can buy the BK7. I think I made out in the deal.

I think its the angle. I did think the tip was a littke weird since the cutting edge pretty much goes up to the point. I will get some better pics tomorrow.

Dear diary: today was a good day.

Seriously though, it's a good feeling when a new Becker shows up at your doorstep. Enjoy!

Here are some more pics of the BK7. Not sure if it's me, or not, but does the tip look a little blunted. The edge is sharpe, but the tip looks like the point was made more obtuse.

I love the knife. The sheath is a lot better than I thought it would be, but I am still going with a Kydex and will more than likely get some Micarta handles for it. I want to strip it and kinda tacticool it out. (I has a little mall ninja in me) I want to get it duracoated in OD. If I do, I will probably get the little Beckers done the same way. We'll see.

Here's a family photo.

Yah maybe its a little different like the swedges do not come down far enough, but I think its probably fine! No worries! If anything it would just make the tip stronger. Either way I like this blade.

If it bugs you, get their attention and send it back. Honestly I think that knife has some issues at the tip there, it doesn't look right.

I heard back from KA-BAR and sent them a few shots I took of the tip.

The more I look at it, the more it bugs me for some reason. It almost looks like the tip broke and they reground it.

''It almost looks like the tip broke and they reground it. ''

Same impression I had when I look closely at you pictures.

I am positive the stock material was not removed enough at the tip, then it was sharpened. For giggles purposes do a measurement and see if it is longer/shorter than spec.

Basically there is too much belly in the blade, and the swedges should hit the tip in a trifecta, as you can see they do not... so maybe the swedges were ground in too deep then the edge sharpened over a blunted area...

its one or the other...

Well, we will find out now won't we. Looks like I will be shipping the BK7 back to KA-BAR for consideration. In the meantime, I will be ordering yet another Becker today. :D More than likely a BK15
