I love the fullers !

I don't truly understand your question. Perhaps one of the knife experts may. The physical laws of our Universe are not suspended when knives are made. Heavier knifes are slower than lighter weight knives. If a large blade, like a khukuri has fullers, it has lightened it's load and maintained much if not all of it's strength. The Kamis know what to do about balance when they have fullers on a blade. The khuks are designed well.

Don't the fullers increase surface area, so they can dissapate heat better ;) make em run cooler, make edge last longer lol

I don't know.........but the fullered biggered knike maybe can still enable a person with a smaller stature to swing that blade in trying of getting the the jobs done..............I have read bout swinging big khkuks that the energy of this is spent on stopping...........lte's say that peason wtih only so much or /little weight can swing a khuk that is comparative to his own bodyweight.........that shall be the optimum..............

So hence the theory that there is a different khuk for a diferent person............

buy fullers tends to bridge that gap............... :)

Fullers might be able to lighten a knife enough so that you can swing a larger shaped blade than you would be able to comfortably if it were normal weight for its size without fullers. They don't take out that much weight, though. A modest amount, a mild difference but it is in a critical area.

Well to me is that fullers can adjast /affect weight/balance........

and thus weight/length.........but then it can be customised to an extend that it can be...........at least a perfert tool to conquer/overcome a job at hand.............oh...........I think i've got the bite from the HKIV........ :o
