I love the RAT forum participation...

I love checkin the forums to see what other people think about stuff and since i love rat cutlery its a double bonus lol

I too have gotten nothing but great help from this forum. Thank you to everyone who loves knives and loves sharing it with others. I have learned so much in a very short amount of time.

Sounding a bit echoish, but yeah, the Rat Pack one of the tightest-knit communities I've had the pleasure of being a part of.

Very true. When I first joined BF I was looking at all the sub fora and came across this one. Having only seen ads for RAT products in mags like S.W.A.T. and the usual knife mags I was intersted in learning more about them. I was most impressed by the outstanding warranty on these knives and the way Jeff and Mike stand behind their products and the way they participated on the forum here. They value the opinions of the people buying their knives and take the time to listen. Then after hanging around and talking with the members of the RAT forum you see what a tight knit group of people they really are. It's been nothing but fun reading and learning from the gang around here :D:D.

love this place, I spent so much time just reading here, I don't have much time to post

Yes I do have to agree and being new to the RAT forum and now that I won my first RAT knife (Tan RC-4) and am proud to be a member of the RAT knife owners.

The folks here on the RAT CC Forum are some of the best that I have had the pleasure to chat with. Almost every one is friendly & helpful even the sarcasm is friendly here.

I have to admit to getting sucked in too.

I picked up a RC-5 and came here for some info. Folks here very upfront about the knifes strengths and weaknesses. Not the standard "I have one so it must be the best BS". To that end I already have a RC-3.

The other thing much like the Becker forum, you guys actually use your knives. I like to play with my toys. Never was much good at placing them on a shelf and looking at them.

Thanks to all, and I hope to become a worthwhile member as well.

Is there any difference between an Ontario RC3 and a newer RAT 3 (both 1095) other than the glass breaker tip on the handle? Steel, heat treat, etc.
Thanks

Broski, we appreciate your participation and we'd love to help you out with this question. Please start a new thread with this question. We like to stick to one topic per thread when we can help it.

This is indeed a great forum and I check it several times a day. I really enjoy the camaraderie and sense of humor around here and it's great to see so many people so enthusiastic about an awesome company. I just wish I had the time and money to make more purchases and attend Blade and other shows/meetups. Granted I'm still a young'in but I'll be there soon enough.

Cheers!
