Hi guys

I was out do a bit of yardsaling today and hit a couple decent scores, I got a nice fishing net for .25 cents , it is nice small one for frogs and small stuff, a couple of brand new hot dog cookers for camping 1.00 for both and a older
Hohner "Marine band " harmonica in box for 2.00 ,

I paid close to 40 bucks for a Hohner Harp about 15 years ago,

anybody else a fellow salers? what have you scored from yard sales?

I can't wait to go out and look for more treasure.

I went to a couple dozen sales this weekend, but it was a bust. Junk! I did get a little Chicago Cutlery butcher knife for $1. Going to cut it into a nessie.

That Hohner Marine band is worth about 30. GOOD score. Do all the holes work - what key is it in?

Do you know how to play - or would you like to learn?

we go to a 400 mile yard sale in august. Ga., Al., Tn., Ky. last year we only made it 12 miles. yard after yard after yard.

nice score on the Harp, but what kind of shape is it in? My faves are the Hohner Big Rivers. Not the best out there, but I like the shape of 'em, and my teacher tuned 'em for me with a dremel.

The Harp is in C , and in great shape, It barely looks used at all, all the holes work and it sounds pretty good, I play harmonic for about 5years then it kinda fell to the wayside, so I and pretty excited to brake out the Little Walter and Howlin Wolf cds to brush up:D

400 mile yard sale, I would be in brain over load...

Marine Bands go for about 30 shipped on eBay. I just bought a Hohner Special 20 in C. I can't wait for it to get here so I can start practicing

Man, I'm the same way. Flea markets and consignment stores too. I just love that stuff. Comes from my mom. She was always into that stuff too.

If you ever go all the way to the South end of that 400 mile yard sale, you will be about 9 miles from my house. Come on over and I buy you a coke.

Something about used Harmonicas, all that spit and food particles. I like Lee Oskars .

I picked up 4 zebco 33's with fishing rods for $1.00 ea. and a couple of outdoor long sleeve wrangler snap button shirts(Tan&Green) for a buck apiece & the shirts are like new...Great outdoor shirts

Picked up a fibreglass recurve (just fibreglass, no wood) without a string for $7.00 at a yard sale. Ugly, but bomb proof and draws 50#. Shoots very well -better than me, in fact. :D

I'm jealous of y'all that can play harmonica...I've tried for years but my tongue is just too big and I have a birth defect...no rhythm...I can play a few songs...badly. I've had more luck with my jaw harp, though.

I bought a US Army Compass (radiation marker on back) for $1 from a Iraq vet. It made me feel bad so I gave him $12 more (all i had on me) and then he gave me a working Garman GPS unit. Al for $13 total

Another sale, $15 alice pack

Both these were in my own neighborhood.

Love garge sales!

Another Juice harp player- around here I am the only animal like that- good to hear there are more of us around. The fiancee got a mini harmonica to play with the juice harp but forgot to learn how to play :p

That snap on box is a major score. The warranty on it is probably still good. I bought a box of old snap on sockets at an auction on the cheap, and traded them for brand new ones from the snap on guy. Awesome score.
