That would have been El Dorado.

Hey Kevin -- in case you're serious, the closest thing you'll find for this application are stainless-steel double-points. These are straight needles (usually in sets of 4 or 5) that have been sharpened at both ends:

Unfortunately, since steel needles are usually used for finer knitting "in the round" (stockings, gloves, etc..), you'll mostly find them in the small sizes; the larger sizes are usually wood, plastic, or aluminum. I'll keep an eye out for bigger steel needles the next time I'm shopping for yarn.

I did find some at this site that come in larger sizes (size 8 is about 5mm in diameter). Might be worth a look.

You guys are cruel ! L:M:A:O: Its even pink wool to make my first pair of slippers ! Now all I need is a rocking chair and I,m all set !

That's the one DaddyDett, In the other one, at the end, they used dynomite to take out the bad guys. Funny how memory works, isn't it?

Kevin, first thing to do is slow down. Levers like positive, assertive movements. Practise until it works out.

It also helps to keep your trigger finger out of the way.... (I once found out it was very hard to cry and look tuff at the same time)

Anybody remember the first, and hopefully the only time, they cocked their Red Ryder BB Gun and left the lever down, wrapped their fingers around the stock and pulled the trigger? ;)
DAMN THAT HURT!!!!
Who knew that lever would fly up with enough force to almost break your fingers?
Nowadays parents would sue the company for something such as that.:(

I haven't thought about that in years, and years but it's the one lesson that most guys never forgot.:D (Didn't know any gurls with a BB Gun.)

I've never tried it with my lever action. I always assumed someone would yell at me for it when I was a kid. Thats the way I judge lots of things. Would I have gotten yelled at for it. Most of the time my brain goes...EffIT.

Yvsa I had a little fake lever action shotgun . You put a little bit of oil in a hole and the barrel would smoke when you shot it . Dang lever did the same thing . It only pinched my skin between the lever and its retainer !
