Hey Howard ! What do you think the poor person who has the house after you will do ? They will get the same good idea of reversing the board . All that work to no avail! L:O:L

I figure when Red Flower and I are here in about 80 years we're going to have to pony up the money for a new board.

I like your oak boards especially the two cranes . What kind of oil do you use on them ?

Swans doggone it! They're swans. The other one's a fish. I know, I know ... my carving leaves a bit to the imagination.

I guess those boards have seen just about every kind of edible oil there is. Many times they've been oiled with cooking oil. Last night, inspired by this thread, I gave them and the newly reversed pull-out board a coat of mineral oil.

They must come from the "Swannus cranylookylikus part of the family .L:O:L

Howard the only thing I can carve is a steak . It was the gracefulness of the necks that stood out the most . The only bird like that up here is the grey heron which while beautiful could hardly be considered to have graceful lines . I saw two fighting in the air and you would think two pteradactyls were a honking away at each other .
Those are nice boards you have .
I especially like the one with the catfish on it .L:O:L
