Over the last few months Shane Taylor has been teaching me to build a liner locker. I've been building one of his designs at his shop whenever he, his brother and I can all make time to spend a day in his shop. It's been going great, and I can't believe how much he has taught me. I'm almost done with it, just one more day I think. But we've only been able to get together one day every few weeks. In the mean time, I started my own in my shop. Well mostly in my shop. I had to take it to Shane's shop to thin down the blade and back bar on his surface grinder.

I don't like the thumb hole, and I double stamped my maker's mark, but other than that I'm fairly happy with how it turned out.

Blade: 1084
Back Bar: Heat Colored 1084
Liners: 15n20
Scales: Camel Bone
Over All Length: 7 1/4"

You could always open the hole up a little with a Dremel and a carbide bit. Hell, you could even make it an elongated oval shape. I think that would look good.
