I made a guillotine fuller today.

Looks like it works fine. I been meaning to make one of those. Guess you are giving me insentive to get up off my ass and get started.

Looks like it works real good. Have you thought about drilling some specific size holes along it so you can neck down to specific sizes?

Is that weld or did some pidgeons fly by and drop something ?
Only kidding mate if it works that's all that matters !!!!

I'm impressed. Actually my welding machine was set on the wrong voltage. I was welding some thin stock a few weeks ago and forgot to set it back. I was sooooooooo confused. I finally ground the welds down and started over, with it set correctly. It ain't coming apart!

You may already know this so just tell me to butt out if you do !
If you get slag inclusions such as can be seen a little on your weld and you don't want to grind them back out, take a rod a couple of sizes smaller than the one you used and just go over it on the same setting....it will burn the slag inclusion right out !

Way to go Scott. It's real nice feeling when you can successfully use tools that you've made yourself

Allan,
I'm not sure what you mean?
I have been kicking around making such a thing myself next winter, but Im not sure of a few parts of it's design.
I like your design, it seems about what I would also like to make, however I question how to keep it from spinning around?

Ohhhhhhhh! I welded a square bar to the bottom that fits into my hardy hole. On the lower left in this picture, you'll see a large weld between the fuller and the square stub that goes down into the hardy hole. It's 1-1/2" square steel about 3" long or so. The plates on the upper right are just to keep the bottom and top halves lined up. With those plates welded on, I don't have to worrly about any slop in the hinge.
