I said "screw it" and cast aside my bread and butter this week to make something for myself. I call it the "FUG".

I'm a big knife kinda guy right now, and this UGly hunk of sharpened prybar is right up my...... alley.:thumbup: For a big guy, it cuts surprisingly well. The geometry is a very shallow full convex (almost flat) from edge to spine. It definately won't win praises in the sushi chef circles but is far from being a clumsy clunker. I'm taking it for a workout this weekend.

Thanks for looking!
Rick

Specs:
1084FG
1/4" spine (no distal taper..... pft... who needs 'em)
15 3/4" OA Length
10 1/2" Blade, 1 5/8" wide
5 1/4" handle, tapered tang, leather backed, reverse twist hemp cord wrapped, epoxy soaked
Copper guard, mild steel butt plate(peened onto tang)

Here it is next to my old trusty Bush Tanto... an 8 1/2" knife that most think is too big to be practical for woods carry also... lol.:p

Great Knife Rick. I wish my Trailmaster would break so I could justify making a knife just for me:(. I make'em for everyone else...do I get one...NO!!:grumpy:

Finally. A tool made for a manly man.
Do you need my address so you can send it to one?:D

It's got that Marchand magic.

Enjoy, but remember to keep those legs out of the way of any rebound.

You know, they should have come to you for knives -- in that recent Conan movie.

WOW !!! I'm surprised the snow didn't melt, that knifes so hot... !!! :)

or at least it was once right??:D

next up some action shots and of course the obligatory sheath pics, even if its painted cardboard..

Really good looking knife.

There is no way 10.5 inches is too clunky in the woods. Bigger knives are much more fun to play with.
