I made loafing with my knife for the first time!

😂 I have to admit, I'm not very knowledgeable about bushcraft terminology so I went straight to Google to figure out what "loafing" meant. Struck out and figured it was a new thing😂
Kinda what I thought too . "Loafing " Might be some new bushcrafty , made up term ...like "batoning " ! Not a real word !

Absolutely not ! Just an amusing case of "something lost in translation " .

Please forgive us for having fun with it ! 🙏

Many here are stuck at a 3rd grade level of humor . Including me ! :p
Haha you just nailed it doc, no one is trying to be mean here. This is our only outlet to let our inner 8 yr old out!

I’m very happy about this, I didn’t think it would work the first time, but my knife was sharp enough and managed to
do it.

Cool knife, Dasha. Who is the maker ? Thanks for posting !

Searched "how to make loafing" and saw mentions of loafing sheds which to me remind me of open front wood sheds. So I figured it had to have something to do with using a knife to baton through wood.

When a cat sits with its legs underneath its body, that is also called "loafing." Because they look like a loaf of bread...
My teenage girls taught me this term - must be an internet thing!
