I made it with my highland out of pine and mystery wood. and i baited it with peanut butter. So i hope i get a squirrel. I also put a cinder block on it to add weight.

Looks good, my friend. For a second there, I thought your upright stick was sitting on a flattened chipmunk!.... lol.... only a piece of bark.

Here's one I made that actually caught a mouse on one occasion....

Looking good, man! The first one I built was in my apartment and all I caught was my dog (I used a couch cushion).

Just a quick thought for that one- if you make your 'top' piece a bit longer, then you can move the vertical support piece outside of the 'fall path'. That way there's no chance of your weight coming down onto your support piece and impeding the fall.

will do if i have to re set it.

Nice work Benchmade Bob. Happy trapping! One bit of advice, make your diagonal piece more accute of an angle. That is, have it steeper and more vertical than horizontal.

that's funny! i have made several to test out some knives but only ever set one up to catch anything. i used a couch pillow and got the house cat. lots of fun can be had inside with these things.

on another note i saw one on one of Ron Hood's videos where it was made with a twig and string and caught a mouse iirc.
