Hunting season is coming up and I figured I need yet another skinner so I make this. 1095 carbon steel, flat ground, early stag handle from a 19th century steel. Sheath is 10oz veggie dyed to match the handle then oiled for water proofing. I have a small double bit belt ax on the way to complete my Nessie trio.:D

Thanks guys, IMO nothing skins better than a carbon steel Nessie. I really didn't need another though, but the steel called. ;-))

Best regards

Thanks Kentucky
I love early style knives and hawks, pieces used by our ancestors to really survive, simple working pieces.
The old handle really feels great in my hand kind of a surprise, I usually use stag crowns for nessie handles but this one grabbed me. Thanks again for your comments, I admire your work a great deal.

Best regards

Robin
