I make boring knives

It's all in the point of view. Patterns that I've made and find boring seem to get the most attention from customers. It's hard to predict what people like, so I just focus on producing something people feel like they won't be getting anywhere else. Either in design or material.
A nice quiet morning spent with graph paper, french curves and coffee always bears sweet fruit.

I like your knives in the first post, they look elegant. IMO a lot of people go too far with spacers, moasic pins, fossilised hippo nail, ect. There's a lot to be said for simple materials used really well

Better photography skills might make them look fancier. Not that I can give any advice there

maybe try a two blade trapper if you are bored with them?
I can't remember who it was that said "if you get bored, add more blades"?

I can do trappers but I find them easy and personally I don't like the thickness unless I go down to 1/16" on bolster and scales. I have attempted but never satisfactorily completed a two-blade design where the blades pivot on opposite ends with no liner in between, which allows a 3/32" bolster/scale thickness that I like. Now THAT, is a challenge! Maybe I should go back to trying to make those for a bit..... Also figuring out the tall blade/spring geometry is something I would like to learn....

Go on Amazon and buy yourself a small light tent for very cheap. Makes a word of difference in photo quality
