I may be in the doghouse

Bear in mind, I'm comparing my Large 21 to my Umnumzaan. A Sebenza 25 might be a different story. The most noticeable things to me are the way the Umnumzaan curves on the inside as it nears the end. The 21 does this but the Umnum feels and looks more pronounced. I like the way it locks in my hand. Also the crosshatching on the Umnum is very nice. I sometimes find the Sebby a little slippery. Of the course the most striking difference is the blade on the Umnumzaaan. I love the harpoon grind. Lastly I hadn't compared the factory specs on the two but was surprised that the Umnumzaan is listed as the heavier of the two. Just the weigh they feel I would have said the Umnum was the lighter of the two.

I'd say I now own two of the best production knives made and I'm ok with that. Maybe owned is the wrong word? I don't know that you really "own" knives of this caliber and quality. More like we are stewards, caring and enjoying them until it's time for someone else to take our place.
