I may be in trouble... drempt of $$$ knives last night!!!

Thanks and yes it is, it's a tungsten ring - deceptively heavy for it's size... :)

Interesting to list that as a piece of EDC gear lol, mine never comes off- I can't get it off...
I originally had a TC ring but I cracked it in two pieces, after that I tried 18k gold but it was to soft. Now I wear a 6mm wide 10k gold ring, it offers the best compromise between mallibility and toughness, it holds it shape well and doesn't get to scratched up but it doesn't break if I strike it on/against something.

It is funny how our tastes evolve. Back when all I owned was a Tenacious I looked lustily at knives like the Delica, SOG Seal Pup, Leek, etc. I decided to stick with Spyderco and over several months bought nearly every <$50 knife model they had (at the time). Then I bought a Manix 2, and next a Sage. Since then my tastes have gotten more expensive with every purchase. I'm now up against that self-imposed $150 "ceiling" with every knife but I have a feeling that's about to break. I've also moved beyond Spydercos for the most part.

Yeah, it's a sickness.

I finally made it the gun range/store yesterday. They had a few Police models there. Checked it out, way too much knife for me. I thought I may want a 4" blade but that confirmed that I do not!

The Delica can be had for just over $50 new (or less on the exchange). I've got more expensive Spydercos (Para2, Native5, some Sages, and others), but the only one that keeps making it back into my EDC rotation continues to be the Delica4 FFG.

I bought my Mom a Delica (not FFG) for $25 and I got a Manix 2 lw (blue frcp) for $50 both on the Exchange. Deals are out there to be had...

Get yourself a Delica. They're really great knives if you like Spydercos. It's the only Spyderco I own and I've never regretted the purchase.

I was just thinking how much I can relate to this thread. I'm starting to look at knives I would never have considered even a few months ago. You guys are bad for me.

My "collection" has suddenly come down to a few favored knives, most of them recent purchases. Most of my earlier (read "cheaper") purchases have now been thrown in a drawer, destined only to gather dust. I've even signed up for newsletters from an "artsy" dealer that I never would have considered before.

Hinderer and Strider and Reeves... oh my!

I'm doomed.

I know that I'll not venture "Up there"!!

LOL! I know what you mean. I wish I had grabbed a couple of AKs and ARs before the prices went crazy. I'm slowly getting there but I could have saved some dough by buying a few years ago.

Nothing wrong w/those and maybe someday, I just want a Sig 226.
