Its true, He was just across the isle and 4 tables up. We shook hands and talked about Blade forums for a second. He had his famous legs showing as we have seen in the magazines. Also had some really nice knives that thinned out as the weekend progressed. I looked close and couldnt see that the holes were off at all.

I also met our own Nick Wheeler! What a great guy. He makes great knives too! Him, his Dad, Jim and I sat together at the awards banquet and watched the "Montana Mafia" stroll up for award after award. They are even starting to look the part except with cowboy hats.

All in All It was a great show and I reccomend everyone going next year. Try to catch the Blade Show coming up June 8,9 &10 in Atlanta Georgia. Bruce B

Yep, it was a good show. My dad and I had a good time. Bruce is a really great guy, easy to talk with and he makes great knives. One of the few other guys there that really like daggers like I do.

Bruce had some of the most intricate knives of the show. He really needs to get some photos of those knives and start posting so you guys can be jealous. His blued mosaic, ivory handled folding dagger was AWESOME!

I would like to go down to Atlanta, but I signed up for the Tacoma, WA show and they are on the same week-end (pluse I can afford to DRIVE to Tacoma

). Maybe next year? I'll work on that one.

Bruce, you'd hate to hear what we say about the way you "malahini's" look when you get off the plane here in Hawaii. Aloha shirts, shorts, black socks and wing tips. Tom was just "trying" to fit in.

Hoss, I dont even have any wing tips. You must be seeing the white collar tourists. I do have some flashy hawaiian shirts though. Are black socks out? Bruce B

Well.....let me put it this way. Last month I went with my family back to Los Angeles for my wife's grandparent's 60th wedding anniversary/family reunion. I had to buy a pair of long pants, black socks and the nice shoes for the occasion.
You'd be suprised the amount of wear my pair of slippers gets here on Maui. Shorts be the standard wear, black socks are definitely optional.
Of course if Tom was wearing ANY clothing thats a step up for him. Those North Shore boys are only a leg shake offa the start of the evolutionary tree.
