I Miss My ZT 0301 - Really Bad!

Now that I have my 301 I think I'm going to be looking for one of the digicam ones. I love tan knives... :)
 
Oh yea me too. Ive heard people have looked for years before finding one... and some are still looking. :eek: Ill be sending Dave some cash for a 30X next week, on my pay day. It will be a very early Birthday present to Me from ME!!! :D

I seriously cant wait to get my knife!!! ...Now I know how a crack head feels.:eek:LMAO

My first ZT was a 350 and I bought it because I heard it was tiny compared to the 300, and I needed a small knife for work. When I opened the box I put in my hand and was like.. its tiny.. Then I opened it and was like, its PERFECT. Now I need a bigger one for outside of work. I just sold my ZT 200 to make up some of the cost so Wifey doesnt stab me with it.... You cant KILL Me with My Dream Knife!!!
 
I'm about ready to toss through the house and fleabay some stuff to make up the money for a replacement ZT0301. Once my wife joined me in retirement, we've tossed our credit cards and only spend what we need.

I'm not complaining, I have folders that cost many $$'s more, but I don't own my 0301 anymore dammit! :mad:
 
That sucks, I feel for you. Ive been on a tight budget ever since my wife and I had kids. Ive never spent more than $50 and I havent bought a knife in about 5 years! A few months ago I got rid of my last EDCs because of my new job, I needed a smaller knife and I wanted a better quality knife, so I found this forum and did some research. I always loved the 30X knives but knew Id never have one because of the price, so I bought a 350 which I fell in love with. Well Ive waited a long time but My Wife finally talked me into treating myself to my dream knife. She supports me being a knife knut, and is into knives herself.

I really hope you dig up the funds to buy your knife. It sounds like you could sell one of your folders to cover the cost of the 301 and still have extra cash... is that something youre trying to avoid doing? I completely understand if thats the case. I sold my ZT 200 to cover half the price of my 303, and listed my Benchmade Mini Bone Collector for sale unsuccessfully, but I wouldnt sell any of my other knives. Im not saying I like the knives I have more than the 303, but I love the knives I have and I dont want to choose between them... which is how I would imagine that you feel about your knives.
 
Well you have a point Ares1307. I certainly have some beautiful folders that I could sell to finance a new ZT 0301 but that would leave an even bigger void in my small collection of folding knives.

What I miss most about "my 0301" was the power of it's torsion bar and pivot set-up. It was an extremely hard hitting spring assist folder. It was faster than any of the side opening, full autos that I collected many years ago.

I always marveled at how fast the set-up on my Zero Tolerance was. It might have been a freak in the realm of physics or something! :p :D
