I miss the regular sebenza's

The ONLY feature I don't care for on a Regular is the little pointy things on the lock-tab. Other than that feature, it's my hands-down favorite and as such I'm trying to gather as many as I can and while still remaining happily married. :)

I have a plain Regular Small and a Large. I love the blade shape, wish they were still around. Unfortunately as in most knife companys, they don't listen to customers.

Some of you guys (you know who you are) should stop buying up the large regulars and keeping the fair share from the rest of us;):D

There are no dates on the inside of the scales, so I figured it was mid to late 90's.

The first 200 Regulars were numbered and they ran until early 1997. Between that time and sometime later in the year, there were no date stamps on the slabs. One member here confirmed that his small Seb from Aug '97 didn't have stamps. I have an undocumented large with a "B97" stamp, so I'm guessing the stamping process started sometime around Aug-Sep of 1997.

What gave yours away was the thumbstud. Compare it to one of your later models and let me know what you see.

I don't know what Dan's talking about.

I too prefer the regulars.
Here's on of my grails, a large regular with a BG-42 Tanto blade:

The regular is my favorite in the large but the 21/classic is my favorite in the small.
I really wish they could be made agin in plain.

You know, I missed the Regulars as well and bought one from Spark when he found a bunch of them in his store. It's a great looking knife but I think I prefer the 21 over it. The blade shapes aren't that different in use and I do like how it's slightly easier to put in your pocket. The cutout on the handle makes it easier to unlock the knife. The 21 is great and I can see why CRK chose to stick with that model.

I agree. I have a regular LH small BG-42 that I keep because of the blade, but I far prefer the ergos of the original/Classic/21 to the regular. This is all personal preference, however.
