I modified my Victorinox Trekker today.

I previously carried the Trekker in a Benchmade nylon sheath worn horizontal or in a custom kydex sheath with a j clip.

I found an old pocket clip lying around & took my drill & zipped 3 holes in the side of my trekker & epoxied the clip & screws in place.

The plastic handles are very soft, so I don't know if this is going to last, but for now, I can carry my Vic Trekker at the top of my pocket, where it doesn't feel like carrying a brick, like it would if just carrying at the bottom of my pocket.

I can't post pics, but if anyone is interested, that CAN post, I will email them to you.

I did s similar thing a while back with a couple of my Vics. The clips seem to work great, however not to much stress/abuse has been put on them.

I think you guys just gave me an idea for that extra clip i have poking around somewhere. A good idea.

The above pics are stratocaster's, mine is not quite as nice & I am not as good a photographer as stratocaster.

I am ALMOST hoping it won't last... then I will have to send it to Chase & Linda, they do fantastic work & are great people.

If money were no object, I would like Ivory micarta or silver G10, with the pocket clip paint removed & polished.

Stratocaster, nice work! Those clips are placed nice and high, giving them a low-ride position in the pocket... good job

uncleknife, I think the idea is great... I wouldn't be surprised if the clip lasts a long time... it sounds like you did the job right :)

Here are the pictures uncleknife sent me of his trecker. Nice job man!

This was the 3rd day carrying it, I haven't torn off the clip yet !!!

Thank you, nelsonmc for posting the pics.

I appreciate it.

nelsonmc,

FYI...posting pics for non-paying members is not allowed.

He hosted them on image shack, not as attachments.

That is a nice job on the clip, btw.

I did not use BladeForums bandwidth (used imageshack), so I don't see how it's a problem. If I am somehow wrong (which is oh so rare :D) then I will remember and not do it again.

I am sorry if I broke the rules, I was ignorant of that rule.

It won't happen again.

also, Lavan, I wish I had your talent & imagination.

Mine looks like trash after seeing your great work.

Thanks for sharing your pics.

Nice mods. Makes it easier to carry one of the larger SAKs.

I made the mistake. I misunderstood the rule. Posting pics is fine as long as it's not on BFC's server. Carry on. :o

hi gentlemen,
i am newbie regarding mods on SAKs
but it's time to learn !
I recently order a SAK trailmaster (after viewing it on your post).
It's a nice knive, but for a French guy like me, he has a major default...
there is no cork screw !
Could i replace the Philips screw driver by a corkscrew?
I have a Wenger SAK that i don't like, from which i could take the corkscrew..
Is it feasable, anybody ever try?
