I need a recommendation for an etching kit for a possible logo for my blades, I don't want to spend a ton of money can anybody recommend a kit that works well? Thanks in advance for your help!! Jim

What is the type of kit you wish to buy? Pre-assembled unit or solder everything together?

Honestly, unless you're planning on making a business out of this, just bring your blades into a local knife shop that does laser engraving. I pay $5 a blade to get my engravings done. Anything I want and its perfect everytime time. Something to look into I guess.
I researched for hours one night trying to find a way to do my own logos and markings. To get a precise etching that I wanted, it would have been way too much $$$ and work to get it all set up. Then you have stencils to keep purchasing and all the other solutions. To me, its not worth my time.
And my local knife shop donates all that money to a wounded veteran foundation, so its a win win for everyone.

colu41's response sounds good if you have it available; if you are looking for DYI electro etching solution I used this link from a thread on this site to build my own and it works quite well; you'll need a stencil of whatever it is you wish to etch, plus access to a radio shack (or similar) for the parts...
