What type of metal is used?

All Tomahawks are hand forged out of 4140 Carbon Alloy Steel except for Pipe Tomahawks & Throwing hawks. Throwing hawks & Knives are made out of 5160 Spring Steel. Scalping knives are made out of L6 saw blade steel. They are all hardened & tempered for durability.


I don't have one yet but they should be decent for either cutting or throwing but a little bulky for any fancy whittling. Not likely to break and reasonable priced.
