I need a cool pen

Squid meat, the Rotring 600s (at least the early knurled ones) accept Parker refills as well. That's what's in mine, with no problems at all.

The last I looked, the Parker refills were running about 50% the cost of the Rotrings, and you could probably find them in your local drugstore, Wally-world, Kmart, etc.

Well after a few days with the bullet pen. I found a problem with it. I bought the one with a stylus on top. I have just been dropping this in the same pocket as my Cuda Maxx and noticed the tip broke off the stylus today. Oh Well! Won't get the stylus next time.

Ah, get the Montblanc. If you really want something unique, different, (and expensive) try either a Parker Duofold (several limited editions are really cool) or an S.T. DuPont (also make great lighters BTW). My personal feeling is if you want a great pen, get a pen from a company that makes pens. If you want a great watch, get a watch from someone who makes great watches. Don't get a Montblanc watch. So many premium brands want to branch out of their area of expertise into something else just for a buck by plying their name. Go for a pen company known to make great pens.

Back in the 60's I was stationed in Germany, and I saw the Montblanc fountain pens, like the Meisterstück, and really thought about getting one. Then I came back to the States and saw one in a jewelry store in the Bronx ... about $30 ... ouch! (at the time). I bought it, and Nixon decontrolled gold right after that and the pen went up to over $300 -- but I kept it anyway :-)

I got it with a broad nib and used it for calligraphy. But some years later I found a stainless steel Schaeffer with a calligraphic nib, broad, longer than the Montblanc nib, and more flexible. What a great pen! Sold me on Schaeffers forever! I even picked up some of their cheap stuff.

Montblanc is not the only great pen, but it is right up there, and it does look good. I sent it in to them for repair once, a crack in the barrel. I am a klutz and dropped it one time too many. They replaced the broken barrel, got it back to me in a week, and it only cost me shipping.

Now, for a cool pen. I don't know, it calls itself a cool tool -- you decide if you like screwing around.
