I need a leather lanyard

Tany has round leather lace that you can work like cordage. Most anything in the knotwork thread can be worked in round leather lace.

Another good place to look is Hobby Lobby or other crafts stores. Super cheap.

Yeah , thanks Stretch.I like that one too.The lanyard on a scout will help them with pocket carry. I had visions of an antler tip to use to pull it out with.
I like the round leather.Be good on my Chippewas too.
