i need a man jewelry box

I use a dedicated watch box for my watches, they're available on ebay for little money.
I have a couple of jewelry boxes (took the dividers out of one) for pocketknives,
multitools and razors.

Vintage metal tool or tackle box + some faux suede/velvet and adhesive spray.

Several of the antique shops here in Martinez (CA) have some really neat old toolboxes; any of the ones I've seen would make a nice storage case for knives or any other collection you might have. The retro look works especially well with Traditional patterns.

100th anniversary Kennedy top box. Comes in black, lined interior, locking, very classy. It looked so nice I didn't even take it to the shop. Or if you prefer wood a vintage UNION ( like gerstner) machinist box can be had for less than 100 bucks.

Check out Pelican boxes. They're waterproof/airtight and extremely rugged. They have "pick and pluck" foam so you can customize the fit for the piece you want to protect. They come in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors.

I bought a cigar humidor, the large ones will hold quite a bit. If you buy them before they put in all the humidifier stuff they are more economical.

A friend of mine owns a cigar shop. I have about 50 nice boxes. I just dont know how to arrange them to store my items. Can you guys that use cigar boxes show some photos please. I feel as though all the stuff gets thrown in and then you have to dig around to find stuff. Thanks

I found this one and modified it for my knifes ... j-o-e´s Knifebox :-)

i need me a man jewelry box. not something that looks like my girlfriends fancy pants costume dress up bull****. needs to hold at least 4-6 watches and 5 folders largest being a zt 560 any suggestions would be appreciated! *insert manly comment here(something more manly then jewelry boxes :D)*

I just finished this one up this morning. It was originally in really poor condition without a finish or the hardware attached. The wood was was well over 20 years old, but nice and solid without any rot. I got it from an estate auction and completely tore it down and refinished it the surfaces. I also added all the hardware, mirror, inside shelf, and molding.

Dimensions are roughly 18 inches x 10.5 inches x 6 inches deep. Doesn't quite hold all my knives, just the ones in my EDC rotation.

:D

What about the ones that don't smoke cigars, can they be had for non puffers?

I'm not sure what the laws are in Ohio, but here in California we have some pretty strong laws regarding smoking near businesses & public places. So, with that being said, you should be able to get cigar boxes that shouldn't have any odors other than the mahogany (or whatever material) they're made of. I usually only ask for the mahogany boxes.

Some of my knives & other mementos are just stored loose in a Las Cabrillas cigar box, but I did create a tray for mine by cutting the inside lid guides lengthwise, and using a 1/8" thick piece of Philippine mahogany from a shipping crate. The problem was that we moved during the project, and I never got around to gluing up the tray. Maybe I'll do that this weekend.

I have several collections, from my stamps & coins and my rock collection from childhood, to antique tools and other cool gizmos. Eventually I'll buy another five or seven cigar boxes and buy an IKEA bookshelf for them to go into. You can adjust the shelves with very narrow spacing between them, so you can arrange the boxes fairly neatly without wasting a lot of space.

Here's pics for those interested:

Las Cabrillas cigar box. In my experience, these have been the most consistent in quality of materials and finish.

I bought a watch case off amazon for around $35, holds I think 20 watches. I ended up with a SpyderPac for my knives and love it. Hangs in my closet and gives easy access to my knives plus keeps them in tip top shape. No bumping against other knives like a cigar box would.
