I need a multi tool

Price not a factor? Charge TTi. Price is a factor? Need to know the price but the Sidekick and Wingman are soooo good for the price.

Leatherman Wave is a classic. Can pick the kick if smaller/lighter weight is more important. Gerber tends not to be anyone's favorite brand around here but they aren't that bad just not at tough as other brands.

Leatherman Skeletool. I had mine for two years and it was perfect. Slim and light it carried like a light to midsized pocket knife. It gave me great sized, high quality, easily accessed pocket knife that also had pliers, key clip, bottle opener, and 4 screwdrivers. If you need or want lots of tools in your pocket at all times it won’t work for you but I always keep a full size multi tool in my bag for the rare occasions that I needed something else.

I lost mine and am looking forward to Fathers day when I may get a replacement!

The Leatherman skeletool is a nice multi tool its not to big its not to small and it has a nice blade on it that can be accessed without having to open the entire tool.

If your interested in a multitool I have a Leatherman Wave I'm trying to trade/sell (I'm not selling it on here). Its not like new but everything still has factory edges and only has about thirty minutes of actual use on it.

If your looking for a lighterweight tool I would reccomend the Leatherman Juice S2, or if your going medium sized the Charge TTI (Its lighter than the wave but more expensive), if your going heavy get the Leatherman 300 or the Swisstool Spirit. I have to say the brands that would be best to stick to would be Victorinox and Leatherman. They both have high quality levels and have pretty much perfected the multiple use knife.

Do you need it to be pliers-based? If you don't need a largish pliers, then go right to a Swiss Army Knife.

For style, you can get a selection of colored scales or even aluminum or stainless steel.

What tools do you want on it, at a minimum?

Since I see you're a balisong guy, may I suggest a Victorinox CyberTool 34? It includes a wonderful bit driver and three sizes of small Torx, which are perfect for getting the pivot tension just perfect on the more tactical knives.

It also has a small but useful pliers, super-useful scissors, and a variety of other good stuff.

I use my Leatherman Charge TTi daily. With s30v blade steel the blade gets sharp and stays sharp. I got the extra bits and bit extension and its more than paid for itself in usefulness. Great tool.
