I need a new Emerson, help me choose

UPDATE: I have purchased an Emerson Commander BTS this morning, can't wait for it to be here! But like all Emerson Envisioners, I'll probably end up with the ETAKB/Gentleman Jim somewhere down the road :grumpy:

Just got the Gentleman Jim in today and it's amazing so I would highly recommend it.

I have a cqc7 since 2009. It's the only tanto point I have. I like the penetrating power of it, but with the release of the roadhouse and it's hand guard plus the belly of it I guess I know what you mean by "need".
But with the year printed on the blade I feel like I'm in a satisfactory marriage for so many years now that we can work things out and be proud of the time invested together.
Sure new girls come along that catch your eye but it's the scuffs and scrapes that tell our story.
 
Whatever your decision may be, if this knife is truly for SD you should incorporate serrations into your pick. Ask anyone that really really knows about what happens to the skin in a knife attack and it's a no brainer. Plus you have the added benefit of serrations anyhow. Serrations + Knife Attack = Nasty Disgusting Hard to Close Wound Channel.
 
^^ What he said. I end up with a cut every other day due to negligence or something simply didn't cut as planned working as a mechanic during the week and as a carpenter on the weekends. The clean sharp knife type of cuts almost stick back closed when you get to it quickly but the ones i get that are from sawblades (manual powered) or just simply a torn up knuckle, those don't stop bleeding for a while. Serrated edge would leave a very nasty wound. Think about the Emerson Rhino SSRT knife, serrated horn on that killer.

My Tiger was ordered Saturday. Sunday I bought a mini commander also. It only gets worse lol. I'm still losing sleep over a 13 with titanium hardware that I let slip through my fingers. This morning I woke up and had a thought that I want to buy 15 and mini 15 in November.

You're gonna love the Mini Commander it's amazing.
