HEY GUYS...

Im kind of in a rut.. I want something new. I'll be stateside next week and this will make it relatively easy.

Objectives: 3" max, button lock preferred, wood wood wood (or some fancy inlays not carbon fibre.. shits plastic) and TI. No pocket clip or at the very least no clip screw holes on show side.

budget is lets say capped at $1000. I dont care if its a sub 100 dollar knife either!

oh and no Mnandi's, I have two.

Thanks!
Matt

I don't know if I've ever seen a production button lock with wood/Ti handles, that's a tough brief!

Close but not perfect matches, maybe worth a look: Medford Smooth Criminal, Alliance Designs Mini Slim Pickens, the upcoming WE Culex, and most of William Henry's line.

Sounds like you're one of the 1% that buys the Ultimate Custom Protechs. Would love to fondle one!

While not a button lock, the Viper Novis is wood, Ti bolster, 3" blade. Where are you visiting?

Ill be in Illinois. near the big green machine.
Cool, I'm outside the Chi myself. Not a whole lot of knife stores here though. My local gun store sells Microtech and Benchmade at MSRP. There is another LGS that sells a variety but at or above MSRP.

I got nothing on suggestions for ya Matt...but im sure whatever ya end up picking will be top notch........

William Henry seems to fit your requirements, but I don't know that I have ever seen many with wood inlays.
I was looking at the william henrys.. Pretty ornate.. heavily leaning in to the form over function.

I’m gonna have to go with a WH.
Good action, gentleman’s knife. Great for trip where there is no camping involved. ;)

Any chance a nice slip joint would scratch the itch? Plenty of nice, wood scale choices on a slip joint tho. Many slip joints don't have a pocket clip too so you get two nice presentation sides.

Obviously, the button lock part is the tricky requirement.

CK has a ton of options and is a BF supporter. I've been eyeing this baby. I'm not a big wood scale fan but I like snakewood.

Something to consider maybe.

The button lock isn't a HUGE sticking point. I just don't have one... So why not now?
