I need a Tanto!

That's what I like about my tanto. The option to use that sharp angle for cutting. I have yet to stab much if anything that requires a beefed up point.
I see it as more options when using the tool.

Cold steel recon 1 tanto is perfect for a "test out tanto". Cheap, tough, strong, and sharp. Personally I like them as an edc. They handle all jobs well from scraping a sticker off a window using the point like a chisel, to cutting steak, to self defense. A tanto can do it all.

I got a knock off of the original cold steel recon tanto when i was a kid, its Coat Cutlery I believe, cost me about $15 back in the 90s and beat on it until the cheap rubber handle started to tear just doing stuff that i wouldnt do with a knife i actually liked and it has come through with no blade damage despite some truly stupid actions on my part. Dont really like the look of tanto's anymore and havent used it in years because the handle is wasted but now i think i might finally make a new handle and see if i cant start liking it again.
