Yep, I sent it in to get the blue hardware and double lugs. If you order direct from CRK, they can do it for you before it ships or you can send it in after purchase.Did you send the large Micarta in to get the blue thumbstud or was it original

So I ended up buying through the exchange...
Got an old pivot startac. In very very good shape. So I'm pretty stoked.
And yea I don't even have it and I'm contemplating how I can also get a small 21 insingo.
Dear god what have I gotten myself into.
So now for more advice. What do I do while I wait? I sold my knives o fund this so I'm between blades literally. LolGreat, very good choice. Make sure to post pics when you get it

lol, I was fortunate not to be in that situation
I sold off pretty much my entire knife collection recently, some on this site, but most on another site. I kept one, my Spyderco Dragonfly2. All that money went to funding a Lg Seb 21 with Micarta, Strider SnG, Hinderer XM-18, and a Seb 25 (two of these were bought from the Exchange here). I have a total of five knives now and much happier with this collection. (Still need an Umnumzaan.....)
I feel the Large 21 spear point is the defacto CRK. I am not sure it is my favourite anymore (I am starting to favour smaller knives), but I do not regret it being my gateway to the other CRK models that I now own, and still carry it often. I feel the Large 21 SP provides a good foundation to start with as it is a good point of comparison to the rest of the line-up. You may love it, but if you don't you'll have a good idea what to trade it for or where to go next.
If it's too plain, get a decorated. If it's too safe looking, get an Umnumzaan. If you like a heavier knife get a 25. If it's too big, get a small. If you think you'd prefer a lower tip profile, get an insingo, and so on and so on.
I'd start with the large 21, and if you can afford it, the micarta is nice, but so is the plain. I have a tough time deciding between those.

Curved r good... Straight r bad...Is the R on that curved? supposedly one of the tell tale signs is a curved r? im just curious
…..what have I gotten myself into.
So much truth. Less than 24 hours til I get my first CRK. And I'm already saving and selling for my second. You have gotten into some of the finest EDC knives in the world with lots of options for more purchases. The options are nearly endless and therefore so is the amount of cash you could spend. If you only had a dollar for everyone here that said they were getting just one who ended up with more than one CRK you'd have enough for the small Insingo.
