I need an electrical timer.

I need a timer, and would rather not build my own if there is something commercially available.

My hot glue gun gets used a lot around here.
Unfortunately, it also gets left on a lot...

I am on my 5th or 6th one, and just bought a high dollar industrial model.
I'd rather not kill it too.

What I want is a plug in timer that will just run for a preset time, say 3 hours, turn off, and NOT come back on again until I tell it to.

There are thousands of them that repeat, and come on again tomorrow, I don't want this.

I can build my own with single shot timer relays.
This is not elegant, and is rather expensive, in the neighborhood of $200 by the time I am done.

Anybody know of something that is plug and play and is commercially available?

Thanks, that's the kind of thing I am looking for.

If I remove the green plugs, how do I cycle it on?

there is a switch in top, the plugs are simple to make so if you want it to turn off more often you can

Gotcha, so turn nob on top to on, set the dial to however far down the road I want it to cycle off, and it will turn off, and not back on again?

correct, I added extra pins to the 2nd one I had to shut the family room tv off, that way it would never run more then 4 hours in a 24 hour period

Yeah Count, there are loads of those, and I have built a couple of circuits here for various tasks using timer relays. (automatic compressor purge, and another pneumatic circuit)

I am looking for plug and play, dead simple, idiot proof, and may have found it.

Only looking to power up a 45 watt glue gun for a few hours...
I may use one on my blast cabinet light as well.

From Amazon, these things are just $10!

Looky what another guy pointed out on a different forum.

They are here, and they are great.

I wish they could be turned off once started, but they can't.
You gotta unplug it...

Been testing for a day, and seems to do what I want it to do, and they are inexpensive.

FWIW, Sears seems to have the best deal on them, with shipping.
$25 for 3 of them, shipped to the house.
