I need an excuse to get an NMSFNO

Hi All,

I really love the idea of the NMSFNO and want one. The problem is, I can't quite convince myself that I have any kind of need for one. I don't go hiking, or camping or pretty much do anything outside that I can think I'd need a big fixed blade for. The fireplace is gas and I live in Texas so I've never turned it on.

So can anyone come up with a good reason (besides its cool) for me to get one? For a folder its cool is more then enough since I can always use them to cut open letters, boxes, frozen meals, etc... But with the Busse I'm having a hard time justifying it and given how limited some of them are I have a twinge of guilt getting one that may be better used by someone else.

Help.... :D
 
Start hiking, camping, nija-ing, etc.....whatever it takes to get you using the NMSFNO :) I have used mine a bunch and it is dang near my favorite Busse. Added plus if you act now is getting it at factory prices. If you hesitate, those prices are only going up!!!!!!!!
 
It can serve as a really goo paperweight :D ...

But on the serious note, I am in a similar situation to you and the reason I got it is because I am planning to start doing all of the things you have mentioned and some more.

Also think about it as an investment which you can always turn into cache in the future if necessity arise . :)
 
fondling isn't a legitimate excuse? having it because it's a Busse and awesome isn't? you could always get one for the potential uses . . . .
 
Zombies. Zombies are always a good reason to buy something. Need another gun? Zombies might attack. Need more ammo? Ditto!

Want a sharp knife? Zombies!

2. You could take up knife throwing in the backyard, and scare the neighbors.

I've used my Hellrazor to open letters, boxes and TV dinners, I don't see how the NMSFNO wouldn't do just fine on such heavy tasks ;)

Or you will then have an excuse to hike, camp, etc. You know, health kick, exercise and all that.
 
OK I think I convinced myself to get it as a "hedge against economic collapse". In case the economy goes to hell I can either sell it or use it to protect my property. Yeah that's the ticket... And of course Zombies. :D

Any comments on the G10 option? I always thought Micarta was a step up from G10. Any one have any pics of the black/white G10 handle?
