I need help choosing a knife for a VERY picky friend. Please help!!

I will definately let you guys know what he chooses. Keep the answers coming,I am getting some good ideas.

A Buck Strider with serrations put on by Mike Turber, sounds pretty awesome! What are the characteristics of BG-42, is it tough, will it resist fracturing? I have a sebenza, but have never subjected it to such abuse.

Maybe a Benchmade Pinnacle 750S. Its not Fully Serrateed but thers a pretty sizable spot on the blade thats serrated. Enough to do some serious cutting. And everything is built tough. 6al4v titanium handle. Frame lock. Thick ATS 34 blade with a strong tip. Only problem I can see is BM hardens their ATS clear up there around 60. Might be liable to chipping if he got to really hacking with it.
I guess you could get the paragee by outdoor edge. Its about the same only it has an aus8 (is that right? ) blade I think. not sure about serrations.
