Okay so I've been collecting for a little over 2 years and have a nice collection with 2 Spydercos, a Benchmade and even a Chris Reeve but I'm moving from a rural environment to an urban environment and none of my knives fit the bill. I want a knife that is well built with a sub 3 inch blade (for legal reasons) for no more than $40..... my problem is there are so many tantalizing options that it is so hard to pick just one. The intended purpose for the knife is for EDC and for a possible duplicate to go in my tornado bag / get home bag if what I end up purchasing is affordable enough to allow for this. As a challenge to you and as a way to help me, I want to know what your top three picks would be with the given criteria and why. From what I've seen so far my three options that I am soooo close to pulling the trigger on are the Kershaw scallion, Cold Steel mini tuff-lite and Boker subcom. Pocket space is very limited because I am in fact a college student so pens take priority over knives, so as an added challenge compact / light weight knives get "bonus points" in my mind, have fun and thanks for the help.
