I have decided to give the on-line magazine a try. But I will need help to make this work. I need some volunteers to be on staff. I will accept reviews from anyone, but I would like to have at least a few people that could maybe have a regular column. I would like to have a few regular columns so people could email responses and questions to you. I will give you an email address, it will be whatever@tacticalcutlery.com. Please let me know what kind of columns you would like to see. Maybe a collectors column, a defensive tactics column, or whatever. Maybe someone could get some good interviews. I would like some people that could really help make this work. I havent decided if we should do a monthly issue, or every other month. For people that submit reviews I want real reviews, reviews that we would like to see. Not sugarcoated ones like in the hardcopy magazines. I am not saying to trash the knives, I just would like to see real pros and cons of the knives. I visualize this as being a site by knife users for knife users. If this thing really takes off we may get money from advertisers to further the site, or buy knives, or pay ourselves. I would also like to eventually see manufacturers submit knives for us to review. I do not, however, want to feel obligated to advertisers to give every knife of theirs a glowing, sugarcoated review. Like I said before, not necessarily trashing knives, but being HONEST. If I have anyone with some spare time on their hands that think this may work let me know. I cant make this work without help.

I am willing to give a hand whenever you want me to...it would be a cool deal really....I guess I could do a column on Dremeling

...or just making do with what is on hand...My specialty is getting the most from the least...whatever the case may be...perhaps you should try and enlist Cobalt and Cliffy for the knife endurance tests...they seem to have that niche filled quite well...I get a kick out of Cliff's web page...lots of tech oriented data on the function of knives..

On a side note, I like your idea of "keepin' it real"....I still get a laugh out of reading the article that TacKnives did on the Apache and Seahawk...and the test methods were kinda funny...stabbing at an "x" on a plate don't prove S**t...I am glad I started buying knives based on what the forums have said rather than what the knife mags have said...I have saved alot of dough because of it...

Is DremelJunkie@tacticalcutlery.com taken yet?...

I would really like to contribute to something like that. I am pretty knowledgeable in the tactical folder area, I own lots. But survival/camp/outdoor knives are my forte. Have lots of experience with those. I would love to see this go forward.

I ALSO MIGHT BE ABLE TO ADD SOMETHING IN THE WILDERNESS SURVIVAL/CAMP KNIFE AREA, NOT SO MUCH ABOUT THE KNIVES THEMSELVES, BUT THE ACTUAL USES AND RELATED EQUIPTMENT,ECT. ALTHOUGH THERE IS ALREADY MUCH INFO AVAILABLE OUT THERE. I DO HAVE A UNIQUE OUTLOOK,LIVING 20 YEARS IN THE WESTERN STATES AND 20 YEARS IN THE EASTERN STATES...WITH YEARS OF OUTDOOR TRAINING AND EXISTENCE.

I'd be willing to help from the technical end of things, translating to HTML, layout &c.

I like my women like I like my knives: strong, sharp, well-formed and pattern-welded!

Shootist,

I wish you great luck on your venture. Since it will mirror what we are about to do here maybe we can work together on some projects and have articles cross over. I have had the online magazine idea for quite a while now and Spark and I have been working on it in the background. I was one of my original promisses when I started this site. We officially plan to launch it at the Blade Show and welcome any partners.

Looks like your idea and mine are very similar so if you need any help maybe we can share ideas.
