So what do you want ? To get the scales on you must get the side that goes against the knife handle flat. Tape a sheet of say 120 grit sandpaper on a very flat piece of material like a piece of glass and make some super level flats. I see that the blade is made to take bolsters if wanted. Will you be doing that? If not those scales need to be long enough to cover those front pin holes. As well the scales should both be finished to shape and size to match one to another and sanded to final finish before installation. This can be done once the holes are drilled for the pins. One scale is placed on the other, and two pins are used for alignment.
I love that Damascus ! Will you please tell me who made that?

Bought both items on ebay

Jason,

I think you'll need to give a bit more input regarding your request for assistance and a bit more response to someone who has taken the time to post a highly responsive reply to your highly ambiguous request for help before you begin getting more responses. Fill out your profile and show your location; someone local my offer to assist you based solely upon that.

We don't even know what help you need. What are your specific questions regarding the next steps?

No, its not. In knife making "that is, making knives from steel" finishing means putting a pleasing appearance on steel, buffing or satin finish. What you mean is "make the knife." I have to ask, what was the point of buying the knife and handle separately if you werent even going to put them together?

This might be a bit harsh, but I still consider putting handles on blanks a FORM of knife making. Yes, the fringe of but still part of knife making. Having someone else do 100% of the work, there in you have left the relm of knife making all together.

I think "need some help" implies that you need someone to work with you, not for you. I have received fantastic information and answers by being cordial and courteous to those that offer assistance. Perhaps you can slow down a little and find the help you need.

Sounds like you want someone to build it for you and don't recognize an offer of assistance when you see it. Post pics when you finish "your " first build.

My request is I want to pay some to finish the knife

I think Jason finally said exactly what he wants here. He doesn't wish "help to build a knife", he simply wishes to hire someone to take the blank blade and scales he has and put together a knife for him.

Now Jason, my question you, how much do you expect to pay someone for this work? Are you willing to ship the blade blank and scales?

50-100
No shipping looking for local person
I'm a chef that's just trying to get a cool knife
That looks better then the other chefs
Our knifes are more important to us than are Wifes

If you qre trying to impress your fellow chefs, a proper chefs blade or a good petty would be a better choice.

That blade will make an OK knife, but will likely not be the best blade in your kitchen. That steel is usually mediocre at best.
