I need info on one of my old Kershaws

Hi everyone. I used to work at Bi-Mart back in the 80s and the Kershaw rep would occasionaly sell me his samples, left overs, etc. I bought a knife Ive never seen again and cant find any info on it on the net. The handle is also a storage compartment for its 2 blades, both of which have a guy hook. One of them looks like a spear tip with gut hook. The other is about 3/4 by 4 inches with a gut hook and sharp serrations pointing out in both directions. These blades are threaded and screw into the plastic hande. The handle itself is bright orange and it a 2 piece type with O ring to keep water out and make it float. It says Germany D.B.G.M on it and thats all. The blades both say the following....Kershaw Salingen Germany Rostfrei. Both ends of the storage/handle are threaded allowing both blades to be screwed in at the same time. While this looks kind of neat it does not seem practicle. The sales rep who sold it to me said it was a prototype and only a limited amount were made to take to show potential buyers. I dont know if this is true or just a salesmans BS. I would appreciate any help on this as many folks have wanted to buy it from me over the years but I have no idea of its value and dont remember what I paid for it. While paid members can upload pictures directly from their computers, anyone can open a photo hosting account.
I use www.photobucket.com . Download your pictures to the account and they give you a URL for each picture.
Use the fourth URL choice, with the tags already in place. Copy & Paste that in your post here.

Another host is imgur (imager). Go to [url]http://www.imgur.com[/url] and upload your image.
After uploading, select the BBCode option - it starts with [IMG]. Copy. Paste.

I do not own one unfortunately. I think it might be Kyle (oregonknifenerd) that owns one. Your story is true about the sales samples. They were for the european market as knotty said. fishermen, outdoorsman I guess was the market for these. The kershaw face book page had a little feature about them maybe almost a year ago.

I would guess SO would have one too. If it's orange he has it haha.

Thank you very much. I will give this a try. I am a self titled Techno-Tard. Even my smart phone kicks my butt every now and then. If I cant figure it out I will have my 6 year old grand daughter show me how to do it. Sad, very sad.

I am not a collector, just an old man who grew up on a farm and still uses knives as daily tools. This one lives in my tackle box, unused. I always thought id land the big one some day and actually use the knife but i've not had much time for fishing in the last 30 plus years. Some day soon though I hope to land a monster and have a reason to break out the wierd knife.

I was able to find one a few weeks ago. Neat knives. I haven't found it to be all that practical. I'm tying it to my canoe gear mess on my canoe with my bail bucket and sponge.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier. I've kind of abandoned BladeForums and knife collecting in general a little bit but knives are like crack.

Let me know if you want pics of anything in particular on the knife and I can dig it out of my pile. It is pretty easy to find being big and orange and not shaped like everything else in my knife pile.

I just read your reply and answered without knowing all the rules.Im a daily Craigslist user so I buy sell and trade every day. It never even crossed my mind that I may be breaking any rules, which I certainly do not want to do. Again, thank you for the warning and advice.
