Tried the Coca-Cola method (slower) and the salt & vinegar method (faster). Started with pennies that were a nice dark brown and by morning they were 'bright', but not 'shiny'. The experiment continues.
I used to collect coins as a kid and my father, who was president of the local numismatic club, would have us clean pennies by leaving them in a pan of chlorox bleach overnight. They came out nice and shiney, of course they used copper for pennies then, but perhaps this method would still work. -Chris
Some that reload ammunition like shiney brass so they put it in a tumbler.The tumbler has a polishing medium such as walnut shells or ground up corn cobs with something like Brasso polish.
