I need suggestions!

Well I thought you may have more knife expertise, but apparently not.
Knife expertise not needed. Basic knowledge of the internet? Yes. BHQ and knifecenter have easy to use tools where you can select the options you want and it will spit out a list. Some might think we are an internet tools, but we aren't. We are humans with feelings!

Top tip, start with deciding fixed or folder. Go!

I think it is a fair request from the OP
Hmm. I don't know. I'm willing to bet that his requirements describes a good amount of all knives currently in production. Shall we just keep listing them all until he picks one he likes?

Sounds like I have started an argument. So for the folks that are genuinely interested, I have only found one knife that fits what I was looking for, the Ontario blackbird. If anyone has any experience with this particular knife please let me know, I would like to hear your opinions. I didn’t want the thickness quite at 1/4 as it is heavy. As for craytab if you have found more knives then list your suggestions since so many are in production.

Cold steel ark compact fits your requirments.
Sk5 steel which isn't stainless but should hold up with some light care.

Essee has some nice fixed blades in s30v I think it was.?
But a bit smaller in the blade size.

Fyi just don't reply at all to the trolls.

Nah, I'll leave that for you. Try to include at least some of the thousands of fixed blades that qualify this time, would ya?:p:D

Moving on to another thread now......

If you filter BladeHQ for >5" <$100, then order them from highest price to lowest, then look at 100 knives per page, then click the knives that list length from 5"-5.25" to open in new tabs, then close out knives that are not flat ground, you get the list below. They are all priced $76-100. These are only from the first page of 100 knives.

Kizlyar Supreme Pioneer
Ontario OKC Ranger TFI
Kizer GTI Bush Knife
Morakniv Classic Utility Kitchen Knife
Condor Garuda
Real Steel Arbiter
Real Steel Gardarik

If you filter BladeHQ for >5" $100-250, then order them from lowest price to highest, then look at 100 knives per page, then click the knives that list length from 5"-5.25" to open in new tabs, then close out knives that are not flat ground, you get the list below. They are all priced $100-134.95. These are only from the first page of 100 knives.

ESEE-5
Stedemon Uncle One
Ontario Blackbird SK-5
Spyderco Perrin Street Bowie
Kizlyar Supreme Savage
Ka-Bar Becker Kephart
Maserin MPCK
Tops Knives SXS Skullcrusher's Extreme Sidekick

Of those listed, I'd pick the Ontario Blackbird SK-5 based solely on the way it looks, the materials, the brand, and the price. I have no need for a 5" knife, so I'm not going to buy it. The SXS Skullcrusher's Extreme Sidekick has the coolest name.

Using BladeHQ and KnifeCenter for their search engines is very helpful.

My neighbor has the T5. I sharpen it for him. We both have big hands so the big, thick handle is comfortable for us. If you have small hands ... maybe a pass. Niolox is considered a semi-stainless steel if I'm not mistaken.

Not sure how I feel about the style but 3V is good stuff.

Browse the Knife makers For Sale thread. Some great deals to be had.

Nope, certainly hope not, you're right, it can go and on, hopefully the OP can be a little more specific, intended uses, etc...so we can narrow down some. It will take some introspection on the OP's part.

Edited: B Bhickman9867 , good luck with your search, my last ideas, check out LTW Knives, some in 3V. I have always liked the GNS. Or the large Northern Light Hunter. Wait...I got it.... the Gen 5, not sure if it comes in stainless though. Spear point.
