I'm supposed to get a bunch of bayonets engraved with a logo for resale. Not trying to make any money off it, just said I would do it for a buddy. I contacted one of the manufacturers but I would have to open a dealer account with them and then they just shop out the engraving anyways.

I've had a couple of guys who were willing to do it, one was going to do the engraving for free, but he is not longer employed in the area, anyway it has been one thing after another and this has literally dragged on for years.

Are there any large dealers or professional engravers who would do something like this for a reasonable price?

I don't have the required skills or tools to help you out myself, but I bet there's lots of guys here who could. Some more details would probably help.

Do you want this logo applied directly to the blade, or somewhere on the handle? Is it important to you that they actually be hand engraved? Because if you want it on the blade, you can't engrave hardened steel efficiently. But, you can easily electro- etch it, which is how lots of knife makers apply their logo to their own work. You can order a stencil of whatever design you want, which can then be reused to etch a whole batch of blades. This would be much easier, quicker, and cheaper, and lots of guys here have etching equipment.

I do make my own photo resist stencils and etch.....if thats what your talking about. I would be willing to do it for a small price. I can design logos also if you dont have one already.

We have a laser machine where I work and I concidered using it on my knifes but it just wasnt worth the hastle (plus its best to laser before mounting the handle). Will work very quickly if you can get it done cheap!!
