I have designed a new boot knife and need your feed back on the blade shape. I have three blades and want you to help me pick the best seller of the three.

Please vote for 1 or 2 or 3 as knives you would buy if reasonably priced.New Boot Knife.jpg

Number 2 for me. I have to say that I also like number 3 because I'm a sucker for classic boot knife designs. Great design, by the way!

I say 2, good sharp point and could be used in public without the military look and able to be carried anywhere, lots of anti dagger laws.

Hi Mr. Russell -

I also like #2 the best.

I'm gonna have to say two - one for me, one for you. :D

Kidding aside, #2 looks great.

I think #2 would sell the most, but would change the angle of the butt so it's better for palm support in forward grip and thumb capping in reverse grip. The spine end being longer is more suited to larger knives you would want to get a 2 or 3 finger grip with lanyard attached for a little chopping - don't like it for folders and small fixed blades.

If you do go with #2, it would be nice as the "A.G. Russell Boot Bowie"

Definately number 2. I dont think number 3 would work with that style of handle.

I think #2 would be a great design, although a bigger brother for the 2 would be pretty cool also.

#2. One function of a general EDC blade is to puncture and a Clip Point does this best.

I like number 1 the best......but I think number 2 would outsell it by a wide margin. So,#2.

The chute knife, #2. I would like to see #1 with the swedge run out a bit more though, it's got promise.

#2 although I think I would like it better if the false edge just had the first angle following the clip and not the second angle following the spine (if that makes sense). #1 is my second choice.
