I Only Collect 110

Yeah BM10, what Rodent asked...what's with the handle? I'd like to learn about that.

BM10, you along with Preston, are The Devil (happy Halloween BTW). Isn't the 124 also "discontinued"?

Speaking of "big" Darryl...how's that boulder you're trying to get through ya?
Hope you are feeling better.

I kinda see what you mean about the handles. Altho, I don' tknow if that 124 Jerry posted is a typical 124 handle. May be.

In looking at some of the herd... I have a new want. A 124 and a 120 size knife made like the full handeled 819 SS in S30V..... Yeah, Yeah, I know the saying.....

i swiped this pic from jerrys post
this is the older 124 (might be a 122 nemo) and a stag 120 so you can see the difference in the blades
the handles on most of the 124's are basically the same just different materials and some have the lanyard hole some do not
but on last years 124 le the handle is pretty close to the stag 120 in this pic , not even close to what it is supposed to be
i will try to take a few pics of mine but unfortunately i dont have the older 124 with a stag handle

Just took some measurments.

Handle on the Klink 124 is 4 3/4 inches which is more than a handfull for me.

Handles on the Klink 120 and 119 are both 41/8 inches. Which are a tad small and I have small hands. Kinda depends if you put your thumb on the guard or not. I tend to do that which makes the handle a bit short.

Is kinda what I like about the 819 in that it doesn't have the guard. Fills my hand better.

I have figured out too,,,, the 119 is a great knife as long as you don't start comparing it to a 120 or 124. :D

ok here are a few pic the one is a slabside stag 119 (the handle is a wee bit larger than normal) then the new 124le and then an older 124
you can see the difference in size of the handles
sorry it took so long but i had to stop for a beer this picture taking is hard work lol

So what is the handle length on the wood handle.

no 10 thanks for the compairson images!!!!
the old school 124 is still tops in my book!~~!
maybe i wont sell the user i got
but i keep telling my self-
self you only collect 110 ....
self you can not afford to jest collect bucks
self you need to sell your fixed blades
self shut up,,, i wants what i wants go tell your wife on me see if i care~

yea i think they are one of the best
the 119 is the same the handle and the blade are a good fit for each other
but the 120 i feel the blade is to big for the handle
whereas the 124 is a good fit between the handle and blade (except that d**n le)

Oh, man! I'm getting sucked into this, and I'm not even one of the intended targets! You guys are effective! You have no respect for pachyderms, but you're good ... maybe a little TOO good.

<looking around suspiciously>
