off ebay, $48 shipped. The seller said "make an offer" which I did and he accepted. I've wanted one for years. I finally made it a priority to get one.

I've been wanting one of these for a long time. It would make an awesome all around knife. Great score!

That is a great knife and at a good price too. It has always been one of my user Bucks. For hunting or general camp use, it's great

Those are great knives! I've sharpened my Buck buddy's VG back home a couple of times and they take and keep a wicked edge!

A USPS rant. The knife was shipped Monday morning. The first stop was Akron, Ohio where it sat for 27 hours. Next to Cleveland arriving there at 3:02 yesterday morning. We're looking at 3 days since it was shipped. It has traveled a distance of 40 miles in that time. I don't get it. If there is a schedule a package should not set at a USPS location for over 24 hours. If the PO knew how anxious I was they would keep it moving. There is no one to talk to to complain or ask why it sets for so long. I WANT MY KNIFE

I think the 120 was discontinued for a time. The pic above was taken with the thought of putting it on eBay when I heard rumors of them bringing upwards of $100 (I paid $30 for that one). Prices on eBay we not nearly as high as I had heard at the time ($60 - $80). I decided I wanted the knife more than the money. I still do.

DDD, I just received the recent Cabela's catalog. In it is the Alaskan Guide Buck Vanguard. With the coated blade and up grade steel at a decent price. DM

I gave less than 1/2 of Cabela's sale price on the Alaskan for my standard model. I think it'll do me just fine.

I love my rubber handle vanguard alaskan guide model, the grip is unreal even doing fish fillets its grippy and I wish buck would make a 110 with the exact same handles, that would be a sweet hunting knife.
