. . . . . for quantity and content of my recent threads/photos from my trip. I now realize that this may have been construed as a little overwhelming or a little over the top. I apologize if I offended any one in any way by the quantity or content of the threads/photos. I also apologize if I "ruined" the experience in advance for anyone visiting this beautiful part of the world. It was done in the spirit of "sharing more than the knives".

Thanks for all the messages from everyone that sent them. Some indicated to me that there might be some people whom did not appreciate these posts for various reasons. My intent was to share a portion of the joy and beauty from the experience. I was in no way trying to "seek attention" or "show off" or "brown nose" as some messages implied. I am sorry if this is how it was received.

Thanks for reading.
Sincerely,
Ron

While I cannot speak for everyone, I found your photos enjoyable. No apology is necessary. Not even close. The ability to capture the beauty of nature in a photograph requires talent, and you clearly have that.

Well I for one did not take them that way. And if anybody else had a similar such experience with similar photos, I would want to see them as well. To me, it's not about envy or rubbing somebody's nose in it, but just about sharing a great experience. And sharing them makes them all the better IMHO.

You know...you can't please everyone all the time. Do what makes you feel good and as long as there is no ill will or bad intention, don't worry about the nay-sayers.

I to enjoyed the pics, and hope people will continue to post similar ones. While I won't be going to Alaska any time soon(if at all) because of fundage, I enjoy looking at pics of others and hearing their experiences.

why would someone find pics of such beautiful scenery objectionable?

actually, now that i think about it i am very offended, since no where near me is such wonderful and amazing wilderness available!!

ive always enjoyed the fact that we can share pics of things other than knives. many of us are outdoorsman (though i am but an amatuer), and i love to see all the places everyone has been.

KEEP EM COMIN!!!

Odd...

I thought they were fantastic pics of what appears to have been a fantastic trip. No harm done here. Post more! I will continue to ooogle them!! :)

I can't believe anyone was offended. They were beautiful. Thanks for sharing them.

I'll have to post some pix from my trip - I'll be sure to put a disclaimer up.

LOL

 Like others here, I'm also trying to figure this out...

Oh, well.

Those pics were great, and I'm glad you were able to take and post them.

Great pics keep em coming if you have more.

Just as long as none of the professional photogs here are initmidated by the quality of your pics:D:D

Ron, I think it is completely unnecessary for you to apologize for your actions in posting, and I am very disappointed that anyone here made you feel it was called for. The "brown-noser" comment was made in our (typical) sarcastic fashion. I don't know how people could be offended by your great shots, and besides, no one has a right to believe they can go through life without being offended by anything.

I hope you and others continue to share these off-topic experiences. That's one of the many great things about our little corner of BF, the fact that we CAN go off-topic. It helps to build the community.

It's not just about the knives.

I Don't think there was anything to apologize about, well maybe for not taking underwater pics

Ron,

It is in the spirit of sharing more than knives that I post here at all. If it were not for that I likely wouldn’t be here and then I may not be buying Busse knives.

If anyone doesn’t like the content of your post or any other posts here all they have to do is simply not continue to look at the post beyond the first one or two photos or lines of text etc etc. I mean it is the internet no one makes you sit there and look, right?

So I can see why you would be expected apologize for anything at all. Of course there are people that say that kind of thing should be in community but it seems to me that the Busse Forum is in addition to being a knife forum, a community in itself. I think we all know that … don’t we?

In any case I’ll be out in the back country next week and you will all suffer through more photos, very bad photos:o

Best Regards,
Tony G

p.s. I only posted this to brown nose, so you'd sell me a BA-III some day.:p

This is a FORUM, right? That's where you're supposed to be able to express yourself to any extent you want. Post all the pics you want! I love seeing everyone’s prize possessions! Makes me want to work harder to get more of my own!

:thumbup::D

if your concerns were from posts in the thread, i wouldnt take them too seriously.

we all have the tendency at times to post sarcastic remarks and take little jabs at each other, all in the spirit of fun and good natured ribbing.

if you received emails or pm's, i wouldnt worry about them either. even though those were probably actual concerns rather than attempts at humor.

i agree with the others here that say this forum, unlike any other, is a community within itself. we have all made friends here and it is the same core of individuals that post regularly. friends sharing their experiences with friends is what it is all about.

No need to apologize Ron. We just want to see more!!!

Some of the best Nature Photo's I have seen!
Please don't let a few keep you from posting future pics.
Unreal that someone would objectify in a PM.

The only thing that could make this all make any sense if some old curmudgeon said he was going to sell Ron a Black/Black BA-III until he saw his photo posts.

Ron… you HOG:thumbup:
