What kind of a case do you use for your I-Phone? My wife just got a new phone and needs a case for it.

TIA

I use an Otterbox Defender. There's another model, the Commuter
I think it's called, that's a little thinner for those who
find the Defender too bulky.

Speck candy shell, hands down the best you can buy and it will still slide in and out of her pocket easy. I drop mine on pavement every now and then and it's good as new.

They also come in a couple colors. :)

Must have apps... :D

Cut the Rope
Words with Friends
Doodle Jump
Tilt to Live

And my wife loves a little unknown app/game called, Quadrix :)

If you want to edit the HD video, remember to hold to phone sideways, that way it will be in landscape mode. IMovie is the best video editing app, a little pricey at $4.99 but totally worth it if you want to edit on the phone.

Another Otterbox Defender here. I am hard on phones, even durable phones have been murdered quickly.

So far this case has kept my iphone safe.

The Magpul cases are really cool. My friend has one on his 3GS and loves it. I know others who also swear by the Otterbox.

Thanks for the help, she likes the look of the Otterbox defender.

I use a Speck on my 3G. It was ~$35 IIRC. It has served me well even though a little piece broke off of the bottom after about 9 mos. It's a solid case and I would probably buy a new one. Also make sure to get a pack of slip covers to protect the touch screen. With this case and those screen protectors your wife's phone should stay like new. ;)

I have both the Defender and Commuter. I prefer the commuter as its not huge and you still keep the general shape of the phone. I use the defender when I know the phone could face some major abuse. But the Commuter protects well for any other time.

I like my Otterbox.

Magpul seems interesting, why don't they show a front view of it??

I have to completely agree! This is my system as well.

Check out the various YouTube vids for a front view. There's nothing really to see though. It's just open on the front.

That said, the Magpul does look nice, but if you can stand a bit more bulk, the Otterbox Defender does provide more protection - particularly with the soft, flexible silicon covers that keep dust out of the charging port, headphone jack, etc.

I'm another Defender fan. My phone has taken some hard knocks with no ill effects.

I've had my iPhone for about two years now, and I've dropped the phone several times, it's been roughly handled at jobsites, covered in wood dust (I'm a carpenter) splashed with water, etc. I just took my phone out of the defender case and it literally looks brand new. The otterbox case is one of the few purchases I've made that has absolutely been worth the money I paid for it.
