For someone probably 2 months ago.The link was from a thread a few years old
and the person replied that it was easily the most informative thread he had seen.

My computer crashed since then and i,ve lost my link to the thread i posted for them and searched every way i know w/o success.

If youre the person or someone who remembers it would you please post the link for ME.

Thanks FOG

Apparently that was me. This is for the Nicholsons, but would work on any that are not just case hardened. After forging, or grinding, normalize it. At least you want to stress relieve in some way, even if just ground. They can be bad about warping. Bring up to about 1500°, or a couple of shades of red beyond non-magnetic. Soak a couple of minutes if possible, quench in a fast oil at 130°. Temper from 425° to 450° 2+2, or 1+3. After temper I used to soft back with a torch in a pan of water about 3/8" deep. They make very good blades.

SWEET ! YEP thats the one CRAIG.

Thanks evrybody !
