That looks pretty sweet dude. So how did you go about doing it? Just wiped some juice on and let it sit for awhile?
 
If I'm not mistaken, don't you get the pattern from putting the actual fruit on the blade? I have to try this now... I need to convex my 9 anyway.
 
Thats one of the few Patinas I actually like. Damn, time for some paint stripper ;)
 
Very sexy,yes I just referred to a patina as sexy :D. That is making me re think my decision to pass on the 10:grumpy:

what I did, was sliced two grapefruit 3/4" thick and sandwiched them between two cutting boards and let her sit overnight with a heavy pan on it. washed her off with soap and water and presto! put the handles back on and away we go!

looks great, it's almost like you have to look at it for about 10 seconds before it looks good.
 
Now I've got to try that on one of my old khukris. It looks great! Thanks for sharing.
 
Interesting effect. I like it.

I'm going to have to get out of the rut of just using mango. But I do love the colors...
